WHAT: The WROAR Ride is an all women's motorcycle ride. Our objective is to raise funds for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape and to raise awareness about issues of sexual violence facing women in Toronto today.

The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre has a thirty-one year history of providing 24-hour confidential crisis counseling for survivors of sexual violence, as well as educational programs, and other services, supported by the grass roots fundraising efforts of women like the 'WROAR Riders'.

The ride is looking for sponsors and supporters as well as women motorcyclists to help us to support the work of the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape.

The WROAR Ride was launched at the 2005 SUPERSHOW in January at the Toronto International Centre, where during the course of the three day show over 100 women riders signed up. The 'WROAR Ride planning committee' is a group of women professionals in the motorcycle industry and women from the TRCC/MWAR – motorcycle riders all!

The WROAR Ride appeared recently at the TRCC/MWAR Bowlathon where the 'WROAR Ride Team' bowlers raised over $500 in donations.

The first WROAR Ride will take place on Sunday June 12, 2005.
