WHAT: The WROAR Ride is an all women's motorcycle ride. Our objective is to raise funds for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape and to raise awareness about issues of sexual violence facing women in Toronto today.

The WROAR Ride is an 'All Women' Motorcycle Ride, but our day-long event is open to all genders, riders and soon-to-be-riders, spectators and supporters are welcome! Please come out and support the WROAR Ride!

The WROAR Ride Event opens at 10 am at the Docks and will include a large rolling display in the form of the Honda 'Come Ride With Us' Demo rides, as well as the McBride Cycle booth with women's motorcycle clothing and accessories. Leather Master will be onsite with a range of leathers for women and men. Other exhibitors include Wen Do self defense, Come As You Are, BeadsForCharity.com and Safety Trip Plan, and even massage therapists onsite!

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT: The Elaine Dark Band will be playing Rocking Blues through the afternoon. We also have a fabulous line up of women comedians including Debra DiGiovanni, Kristeen von Hagen, Shelley Marshall, Ginny Allen, Dini Dimakos. The band will start up at 1:00, the comedians will take the stage starting around 2:30, and the band will finish off the afternoon.

HONDA: Honda Canada be present with the 'Come Ride With Us' Demo Rides, and licensed motorcyclists with appropriate gear will be able to sign up to take a demo ride; a donation to the WROAR Ride will be requested.

The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre has a thirty-one year history of providing 24-hour confidential crisis counseling for survivors of sexual violence, as well as educational programs, and other services, supported by the grass roots fundraising efforts of women like the 'WROAR Riders'.

The first WROAR Ride will take place on Sunday June 12, 2005.
