FUTURE EVENTS:

The 2nd Annual WROAR Ride will be Sunday June 11th 2006
  • The Docks on Cherry Street just south of Lakeshore Blvd. will be our start and end point, just as last year.
  • Honda's demo ride crew will join us again for 2006, and Yamaha will also be there as a new addition, with a fleet of motorcycles available for test riding!
  • And just like last year, we will have awesome prizes and lots of ways to win them, on-site massages for achy muscles after the ride, food for energy, and great entertainment!

The Toronto Spring Motorcycle Show

 April 8 & 9 2006 at the Toronto International Centre - stop by the WROAR Ride booth, see the photos of last year's ride, get updated info. for this year's ride. Alex's Pink VTR 250 will be featured in the booth - back by popular demand! You can pick up a rider pledge form, and remember to pick up some flyers to help us spread the word! BOWLATHON 2006

The Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape annual Bowlathon Fundraiser was held on Saturday February 25th 2006. The WROAR Ride bowling team was every bit as enthusiastic as last year! We raised $1,040.00 for the TRCC/MWAR, as well as our very successful raffle supported by the Rider Training Institute with our grand prize of a basic rider training course. The BOWLATHON is a wonderful event, loads of fun... Classic 5-pin (Canadian!) bowling and wild Cosmic 10-pin. The WROAR Bowlers aren't very serious about their bowling, so we stick with lots of pins to hit and go with the Cosmic 10-pin. We had lots of laughs and cheering as we discovered our team's bowling skills were a bit erratic. We may not take our bowling very seriously, but we did some serious fundraising! Cynthia, new to the WROAR bowling team this year, was our team's top fundraiser!

Women's Health Matters Forum & Expo

Friday January 20th some women from the WROAR Ride Committee spoke at the Women's Health Matters Forum & Expo. Our presentation on 'Women in Motorcycling' was on the main stage in hall E at 12:30. It was an exciting opportunity to talk with women interested in motorcycling as well as women riders. SUPERSHOW 2006

January 6, 7, 8 2006 at the Toronto International Centre

 The 2006 30th Anniversary SUPERSHOW was awesome. We met women riders who hadn't heard about our event last year, and women riders who were at the event and enjoyed sharing their stories and seeing the photos. We talked to experienced riders and new riders and soon-to-be riders too. The pink bike in our booth drew a lot of attention; Alex's VTR250 (photos below) was a beautiful addition to our booth, and her painter, Micheal Proteau has done a stunning job.

We're really excited about the success of the first WROAR Ride. We raised over $ 8,500.00 for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape. Thanks to all the people and companies who have supported our event, and to the women who braved the heat to participate.
