The Basics:

Who: The WROAR Ride is open to all; motorcycles, scooters, trikes and riders of all genders
What: A motorcycle poker run ride; participating motorcyclists raise pledges for the TRCC/MWAR
When: Sunday June 13th 2010 - 10 am to 4 pm
Where: Morningside Park, Scarborough Ontario - Morningside Ave. south of Hwy 401 - map
Why? all funds raised go to support the TRCC/MWAR

How does it work?

Individual motorcyclists raise pledges to donate on the day of the ride. You can raise pledges online and/or on paper (PDF pledge form).

Our goal for 2010 is to have 150 riders raising $100 each for a total of $15,000.00 - so we'll be giving special rider goodie-bags to all riders who raise $100.00 or more in pledges, and we'll have great prizes for top fundraisers too, including a Technical Rider course from the Rider Training Institute.

Riders who are not able to raise $100 in pledges are still encouraged to participate, no one will be turned away and all donations will be accepted (even Canadian Tire money!)... you'll just miss out on the great goodie-bag treats and free lunch.

Individual WROAR Riders & Clubs can collect sponsors pledges online!

2010 ONLINE DONATION now available!
To set up your own personal giving page go to:
https://www.canadahelps.org/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fGivingPages%2fManage%2fMyGivingPages.aspx

You'll be asked to create an account with Canada Helps - it's free to set up. You will be asked to give your name, address and e-mail and to select a password.

Once your account is set up you can create a 'Giving Page' to collect sponsorship donations online from your family and friends for the WROAR Ride 2010. It will take about five minutes to follow the steps to set up your giving page and then you can e-mail your friends and family a link to your personalized giving page to start taking ride sponsorship donations online!

You can choose to display your fundraising target, or not, and you can include a photo if you want to. When you're asked to add a charity to your personal giving page, don't look for the WROAR Ride, add the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape as the charity.

Clubs can follow the same procedure to set up a 'personal' giving page for your club, and members can use it collectively, or individual club members can set up their own giving pages, whichever you prefer.

Before the ride, print out your pledge summary, and bring it to rider registration when you arrive June 13th at the WROAR Ride.

If you have any problems setting up your account with Canada Helps, please let us know: webmistress@wroar.com

Prefer to collect donations on paper? No problem - download the PDF file of our WROAR VI Pledge Form

Treasure Hunt

New for 2010, our new Treasure Hunt WROAR Ride

The Treasure Hunt will include a pre-mapped route (riders will get map and directions when they register onsite at the event), shorter than last year's route, but in the same area, and using some of the same great curvy rural roads. There will also be bonus point destinations for riders that want a longer ride or more challenging navigation.

December 2009 - we announce the first two tips on 'Bonus Points'!
1. Bonus points for wearing an old style WROAR Ride t-shirt
2. Bonus points for a THIRD Wheel. Trikes, sidecars, Spyders and MP3's can take advantage of their extra wheel for extra points at the WROAR Ride!

More Treasure Hunt bonus points will be announced at the SUPERSHOW January 15, 16, 17 2010

The WROAR RIDE is in support of:

Note to visitors: this new 'low-wattage' version of the WROAR Ride website requires less electricity to view and generates less light pollution. A small savings that adds up with 3,000 to 4,000 visitors per month. Our way to rebalance the karma of our carbon footprint as internal combustion enthusiasts.
