  • From the 401, exit onto Morningside Dr. and go north to Milner Ave. turn left onto Milner.
  • For M1 or LSM Riders, you can use Sheppard Ave. or Ellesmere Rd.

Rider's Kit

Download the PDF File of our RIDER PLEDGE Form and you can start getting sponsors right away. Our new online donation system is outlined below.

Participating women riders must bring their completed pledge form and donations with them on June first (and online pledge summary, if you're collecting donations online too). We are requesting that women participating in the ride raise a minimum $100 donation. Our goal is to ride with 100 women raising 100 dollars each, so we'll raise $10,000.00 in rider sponsorship donations for the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape.

If you'd like to get involved join our mailing list, we send out occasional e-mails through the year (about every second month) to keep you updated on ride developments.

Individual WROAR Riders can collect sponsors pledges online this year!

To set up your own personal giving page go to:
https://www.canadahelps.org/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fGivingPages%2fManage%2fMyGivingPages.aspx

You'll be asked to create an account with Canada Helps - it's free to set up. You will be asked to give your name, address and e-mail and to select a password.

Once your account is set up you can create a 'Giving Page' to collect sponsorship donations online from your family and friends for the WROAR Ride 2008. It will take about five minutes to follow the steps to set up your giving page and then you can e-mail your friends and family a link to your personalized giving page to start taking ride sponsorship donations online!

You can choose to display your fundraising target, or not, and you can include a photo if you want to. When you're asked to add a charity to your personal giving page, don't look for the WROAR Ride, add the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre / Multicultural Women Against Rape as the charity.

Before the ride, print out your pledge summary, and bring it to rider registration when you arrive June 1st at the WROAR Ride.

The WROAR RIDE Invites CLUBS to get involved

 The WROAR Ride invites motorcycle clubs to get involved. The Amazons and the Chic Riders are actively involved in this year's ride, and we welcome the participation of other clubs too! Your club can send individual riders or participate as a group. We ask that each rider raise a minimum donation of $100, and each club raise a donation of $100 per club member participating. You can fund your donation through club events like a dance or bike wash, as well as through sponsored pledges. If your club would like exhibit space at our event to promote your club and attract new members, we'd be happy to offer a 10x10 exhibit space for your club. If you're club would like to get involved, please e-mail webmistress@wroar.com and let us know.

MORE EVENT INFO

 The Honda Demo-Rides will be at the WROAR Ride again this year, offering the 2008 CBR125R (which now comes as a street bike or race bike prepared for a new racing series in 2008! For more information on the racing series visit: www.honda.ca/MCPE/_Global/files/PressRelease_HONDA_CBR125R_SERIES_EN.pdf) The street version will be available for testing at the WROAR Ride. We may also have Honda scooters available for our WROAR event. WROAR 4 will also feature new entertainment including fitness and martial arts demonstrations from Instinctive DT, Yoga classes through the day, new vendors including SmartChock bike stands, with their easy-to-use wheel stand.

Our fabulous raffle offers some great prizes, including an Advanced (or Intermediate) Rider training course from the Rider Training Institute and a trackday from Motoress, at the Motoress Women's Trackday taking place at the Rider Development Track at Mosport on Sunday July 6th 2008 visit Motoress.com for more trackday info.

Riding as a Group:

  • Please ride in staggered formation, behind and to one side of the rider in front of you.
  • If the group you are riding in becomes separated by traffic lights, or intersections, a ride marshal will try to pull to the front of the group when it is safe to do so. Please be alert to ride marshals moving around the group.
  • Review the route instructions (see over) and take the map with you.
  • If you have a problem and you have to pull over, use your turn signals or hand signals. One of our ride marshals will come and see if you want assistance.
  • If you want to point out debris on the road surface to riders behind you, put out a hand or foot to point to the debris.
  • Check carefully for riders around you before indicating, then changing lane position
  • Be courteous of other riders in the group – we have a wide range of rider experience levels and motorcycles riding on the WROAR Ride.
  • Be alert for distracted traffic – we’ll be quite a spectacle! Ride Safe!
